Patrick, 18, will miss the on ice portion of next week's developmental camp and is expected to recover fully within 4-6 weeks of the surgery date.
Patrick's surgery was related to the injury he dealt with this past season when he played for the Canadian junior ice hockey Brandon Wheat Kings. The injury was a complication of the previous season's sports hernia injury.
