Why should any of us be surprised that this weekend, the unofficial end of hideous winter and the start of meteorological spring, be any different?

February closes out below freezing, of course. What, is this the fifth coldest February on record in Philadelphia? Just about, with temperatures some ten degrees below average.

Mid-week looks to be 57 degrees, but it comes with rain. After this winter, rain we will take, with just a few complaints. After all, we're entitled to some complaining. It help keeps us stay warm and sane at the end of a long stretch of too much winter.
