NJSP Investigate Report Of Needle Found In Candy

COMMERCIAL Twp., NJ (CBS) -- Authorities are investigating the report of a needle found in Halloween candy in Cumberland County, New Jersey.

Police say the victim told detectives that between 7 and 8 p.m. she found a sewing needle in a Tootsie Roll that her child received while trick-or-treating earlier in the evening.

There are no suspects at this time, police say.

As always, officials urge parents to check their children's Halloween candy.

The investigation is ongoing.
