NJ Man Convicted Of Killing Boy, Assaulting Sister Sentenced To 110 Years

CAMDEN, N.J., (CBS) -- A Camden, New Jersey man convicted of killing a six-year-old boy and raping his sister is sentenced to 110 years behind bars.
In 2012, 35-year-old Osvaldo Rivera broke into the Andujar family's home.
"He assaulted a 12-year-old girl living there. He cut the girl. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds including deep gashes on her throat," said Andy McNeil with the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
McNeil says the girl's six-year-old brother Dominick rushed in the room to help her, but he was stabbed to death.
"Dominick will always be remembered as Camden's little hero," said McNeil.
McNeil says Rivera's reign of terror on Camden didn't stop there.
"He's facing aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges for a separate assault on a two-year-old boy in Camden," said McNeil.
Rivera won't be eligible for parole until after he turns 100-years-old.
