NJ Man Arrested In Alleged Sexual Assault Of 4-Year-Old Boy
PT. PLEASANT, NJ (CBS) – Authorities say a 66-year-old man was arrested in the alleged aggravated sexual assault of a four-year-old boy.
Officials say Russell Cortese, of Jersey City, was arrested on August 2 after an investigation was initiated based upon information provided by the child.
Authorities say based on the reported information, Cortese was located at an address in Pt. Pleasant Borough where he was visiting.
Upon further investigation, Senior Assistant Prosecutor Terry Linardaski approved charges for aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Authorities say Cortese was immediately taken into custody and his bail was set at $150,000, with no 10 percent option.
Officials say the Division of Child Protection and Permanency were also notified.
