NJ Man Accused Of Posting Explicit Photos Of Ex-Girlfriend On City Poles

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — A Trenton man has been charged with extortion after police say he posted sexually explicit photos of a former girlfriend on city utility poles.

Prosecutors say Tommy Dormevil attempted to coax the woman into repaying him a $3,000 loan after he took explicit photos and video of her without her consent. The 42-year-old was charged with extortion, stalking, and invasion of privacy.

Dormevil's attorney says he denies the accusations. He says the woman is making the allegations up to cover up an infidelity.

Assistant Prosecutor Laura Sunyak said Thursday Dormevil had threatened to physically harm the woman in March. She says he sent her text messages and calls saying he was watching her with binoculars from a nearby gas station.

He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
