Elderly Man Found Safe After Going Missing In The Woods

CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. (CBS) -- An elderly man who went missing in the woods Monday afternoon has been found safe.

For more than 24 hours, several New Jersey communities were on the lookout for John Anderson Sr. Authorities said Anderson liked to hike in the woods around this time of year and was known to frequent Voorhees by Triboro and the Waterford area around Burnt Mill.

Waterford Township Police posted the information, along with Anderson's picture and a description of his vehicle on their Facebook page Their post was shared more than 1400 times.

Anderson was located in New Castle County, Delaware. According to officials, he is currently being attended to by Delaware State Police and medical personnel.
