Nine People Displaced After Fire Destroys Kensington Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Nine people were left homeless after a late night fire ripped through a house in North Philadelphia.

Flames broke out around 11:15 p.m. Sunday on the second floor of the home along the 3000 block of North Lee Street near Front Street in the city's Kensington neighborhood.

Officials say nine people escaped the blaze unharmed but the home was destroyed.

Crews placed the fire under control in about 15 minutes.

Investigators were working to determine the cause of the blaze.
