'Nightscape' Light And Sound Experience Returns To Longwood Gardens

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. (CBS) -- In Chester County, lights twinkle and glow across a new kind of art canvas: plants.

"Nightscape" at Longwood Gardens has returned for its second year with a new musical component.

 

The display is a combination of light, projection and now sound and was put together by Klip Collective, an experiential art shop based in Philadelphia.

Longwood is has than 1,000 acres of garden with tree houses for kids to explore, four acres of conservatory, a beer garden and bathrooms ranked among the best in the country. More than 1.3 million people visit the attraction annually.

Last year Nightscape alone saw 180,000 visitors.

"Nightscape: A Light and Sound Experience" is open Wednesday through Saturday evenings through October 29. Tickets must be purchased in advanced.
