NFL Announces Bills-Jets Game Not To Be Played In Buffalo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets are scheduled to square off on Sunday in Buffalo. The game will happen, but when and where is now up in the air as the NFL has announced that due to massive amounts of snow, the game can not be played in Buffalo.

NFL spokesman Michael Signora announced on Thursday that the league is looking into alternatives to relocate the game.

In a statement Signora said on Thursday "due to public safety concerns in light of the ongoing weather emergency in Western, NY, Sunday's Jets Bills game will not be played in Buffalo. We are in the process of rescheduling and relocating the game as part of Week 12. We will provide additional information as soon as possible."

According to reports, Detroit and Washington are both being considered as alternative sites for the game.
