New Survey Looks To Gauge Recent Grads' "Philadelphia Experience"

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- If you recently graduated from a Philadelphia area college or university over the past four years, an oranization dedicated to promoting the region to millennials is asking you to participate in an online survey.
The survey by Campus Philly is an attempt to determine how many graduates stay in the Philadelphia region. Campus Philly President Deborah Diamond says it's the third one to track impact.
"In 2004, the Economy League did a study, 'Should I stay or should I go?' In 2010, Campus Philly executed the same survey from student to resident," she says, "and now we're going to be redoing the survey in the summer of 2014, so we'll have results in December."
But Diamond says they are adding something new to this year's survey.
"We are asking recent grads -- if you left Philadelphia, did you come back? Because we certainly know that is the case, too," Diamond says. "Graduates are really, really mobile. And they might not make Philadelphia their first stop after they graduate, but they often find their way here and we love to hear that, see that and monitor that."
Diamond says Philadelphia is increasingly becoming a brain magnet -- with 100,000 more millennial between 2006 and 2013.
"We are number one in growth in that demographic," she says, "and increasingly what we are hearing from college students is that they want to stay in Philadelphia and we are here, Campus Philly is here to help them with the pathways to stay."
