New Shopping Destination In Dilworth Park This Holiday Season
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The organizers of the Christmas Village in LOVE Park put together a new holiday shopping experience on Dilworth Plaza.
This one is all about Philadelphia.
"Philly has an amazing artist and crafter scene-- so we wanted to give these small businesses an opportunity."
Tom Bauer works for the Christmas Village, which is known for its European-style crafts. But this year, for the first time, they decided to give local vendors their own special space, creating the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market with its own look and feel.
"We have light white tents beautifully decorated with Moravian stars on the top."
The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market includes 25 vendors and is set up alongside the Rothman Ice Skating Rink on the southern end of Dilworth park.
"We have some food vendors, soap makers, jewelry designers and accessories."
The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market opens Saturday and runs through December 26th. For more information, visit: centercityphila.org.
