New Poll Suggests Governor Christie's Popularity Is On The Decline

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) --- A new poll out this morning may not sit well with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
The latest Rutgers Eagleton survey would suggest Christie's not as popular as he used to be. In fact, those numbers are at their lowest levels in 3 years, according to poll director David Redlawsk.
"We find the Governor's favorability rating to be what we call net negative," Redlawsk said. "42% of registered voters are favorable towards Governor Christie, but 45% now feel unfavorable."
Christie's job performance remains positive, just barely, at 49% - 46%. A mixed message, Redlawsk concedes, but one that does occur in polital polling from time to time.
Taxes and the economy are top issues for repondants, and on both fronts, less than 40% feel Christie's doing a good job.
