New Owner Working To Get Electric Power Restored at Revel Casino-Hotel, in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) -- The emergency power problem at the former Revel hotel-casino is in the process of being corrected by its new owner, developer Glenn Straub.
Two generators and one backup have arrived at the site, and will be hooked up soon.
Meanwhile, Atlantic City mayoral chief of staff Chris Filiciello says he remains in touch with Revel workers.
"They are trying to see what they can do to connect them, so that at least emergency power can be provided to the elevators and the fire suppression system," he tells KYW Newsradio.
Until that happens, $5,000 daily fines will be assessed on Straub's company. Those fines began after ACR Energy pulled the plug over the hotel's huge unpaid power bill.
Straub is now threatening to go to court to evict ACR as sole electric supplier to the Revel property. The company is vowing to fight.
