New Jersey Natural Gas Cutting Rates

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Natural Gas customers will be paying less.

The state Board of Public Utilities on Tuesday approved a rate decrease that will save the average New Jersey Natural Gas customer $33.10 a year.

The savings is a result of a reduction in what the utility pays for energy efficiency and assistance programs.

The reduction begins on Monday.

New Jersey Natural Gas serves over half a million customers in Monmouth, Ocean and parts of Morris and Middlesex counties.
