New Jersey Man Faces Murder Charge After Roommate Found Strangled

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a dispute between two roommates ended with one strangling the other in their home. Middlesex County prosecutors say Corne Dionisio is charged with murder and aggravated assault in the death of 32-year-old Fidel Ruiz.

It wasn't known Tuesday if the 33-year-old Dionisio has retained an attorney.

Police responded to the Woodbridge home around 8 a.m. Saturday and found Ruiz dead. An autopsy determined that he died from homicidal asphyxiation.

Authorities have not said what caused the dispute or disclosed further details about the incident, citing the ongoing investigation.
