New Jersey Man Arrested In Georgia, Accused Of Fatally Shooting Teen In Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, Nj. (CBS) -- The Camden County Prosecutor's Office has announced the arrest of a 21-year-old man in connection to the murder of a 17-year-old Camden teenager.

Kevin Fentress, 21, of Burlington County was taken into custody on Friday morning in Marietta, Georgia. Police say that Fentress was taken into custody in connection to the death of Jadyre Gordon.

Officials say that Gordon was shot outside the Inn of the Dove in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Police say Gordon was shot inside a vehicle that was located in the parking lot.

Authorities say the shooting took place after an altercation at a party in one of the motel's rooms.

The incident took place on February 28, at 2:24 a.m. Gordon was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and was eventually transported to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

Another victim was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes for treatment and was released.

Officials say the search for Fentress included New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Georgia, where he was found at the home of an acquaintance.
