New Jersey Health Department Confirms First Pediatric Flu Death Of Season

PHILADELPHIA CBS) -- The New Jersey Department of Health is confirming the state's first pediatric flu death of the season.

The child -- from Central Jersey -- died in late December.

For reasons of medical privacy, the department will not be releasing additional information.

Authorities say flu activity across New Jersey is high, so it's important for those who have not yet done so to get a flu shot.
