New Jersey Will Hold Boost NJ Day Wednesday As An Effort To Get More People Vaccinated

TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) -- Wednesday is Boost NJ day. The day is an effort to get more people in New Jersey vaccinated, while also recognizing the one-year anniversary of the first shot given out in the state.

Health officials are urging vaccination sites across New Jersey to host walk-in clinics and extend their hours.

Officials say while 73% of New Jersey residents are fully vaccinated, just 36% of those who are eligible have gotten a booster.
