New Brain Scan Technology May Help Detect Mental, Neurological Disorders

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) - New brain scan technology could help detect mental and neurological disorders, including autism and dementia.

That's according to a study by a research group in San Francisco.

They looked at recent advances in portable technology, called EEG, and found it may be effective in uncovering abnormal brain changes before doctors spot them.
