Neighbors Rescue Children From Burning Home In Frankford

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Good Samaritans came to the rescue of children in a burning home in Frankford.

The fire occurred in the 5200 block of Hawthorne Street.

An 18-year-old babysitter, a 9-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl were all home at the time and the babysitter could not get to the kids when the fire broke out, so neighbors moved in to help.

Tricia Tilson says, "All we could see was the baby girl hanging out the window crying. So we all just started kicking that door in."

No one was seriously injured in the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
