PA Turnpike Opens Between Lansdale And Quakertown Interchanges After Tractor Trailer Crash

LANSDALE, Pa. (CBS) -- A portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike's Northeast Extension was closed for eight hours due to an investigation of a serious accident that happened before the morning rush.

Chopper 3 was over the scene of the accident involving four tractor-trailers.

The accident happened in the northbound lanes between Lansdale and Quakertown around 5 a.m. Tuesday.

One person was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The roadway reopened just before 3 p.m.
