NASA Plans New Mission To Mars With New Rover

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — NASA is making plans for its next mission to Mars by building a next-generation explorer.

The new rover that has major upgrades, including radar that can search for water beneath the planet's surface and a drill to collect samples of solid martian rock.

It may reveal fossils or other signs of life from the planet's past.
