Fire Damages Popular South Jersey Diner

WESTMONT, N.J. (CBS) -- Fire officials are trying to determine the cause of an overnight fire that heavily damaged the Crystal Lake Diner on West Cuthbert Boulevard in Camden County's Westmont Section.

The fire was reported just before 11 o'clock Sunday night and took nearly two and a half hours to control.

The two-alarm blaze appears to have started in the basement area.

At the height of the firefighting operation, flames were through the roof area and could be seen several blocks away.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause remains under investigation.
