Murder Charges Filed In Deadly South Jersey Street Shooting

WOODBINE, N.J. (AP) — State police have arrested a man who allegedly shot and killed another man on a southern New Jersey street.

Xavier Geisinger, of Dennisville, was charged with murder, aggravated assault and weapons offenses in the death of Damien Fashaw, a 41-year-old Woodbine resident who was killed Thursday night.

The arrest and charges were made public Saturday.

Authorities say witnesses saw the two men arguing outside Fashaw's home, and a gunshot was heard a short time later. Troopers responding to the scene found Farshaw in the street with a single gunshot wound to his chest, and he was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.

It was not known Saturday if the 20-year-old Geisinger has retained an attorney. He was being held on $750,000 cash bail.
