Philadelphia Mummers Parade organizers announce plans for 2026 event
New Year's Day is still weeks away, but Philadelphia's Mummers are already gearing up for the annual parade along Broad Street.
The 2026 Mummers Parade is extra special, being the 125th anniversary of the event.
Parade organizers gathered Thursday to announce more on where to see the parade in person and the return of the title sponsor, Live! Casino and Hotel.
The parade begins at City Hall at 9 a.m. and continues south to Washington Avenue until 7 p.m.
Organizers say with the parade being half as old as the country, it's a great way to promote the nation's 250th birthday in 2026.
The event included plenty of strutting and dancing from reps of all four parade divisions.
