Police: Man Critically Injured In Accident That Shut Down Portion Of Route 1 In Bucks County

FALLS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- A man was critically injured in a one-vehicle accident that shut down a portion of Route 1 in Bucks County on Friday morning.

Crews were dispatched for the accident on Route 1 southbound between Stoney Hill and Oxford Valley Roads in Falls Township around 11:40 a.m.

Police say the 27-year-old driver was ejected while the vehicle continued into a wooded area off the road.

The victim, who is from the Levittown area, was taken to St. Mary's Trauma Center and is in grave condition.

No one else was in the vehicle and no other cars were involved.

Route 1 southbound will be closed from Bridge Street to Oxford Valley Road until around 4 p.m. so officers can gather evidence.
