Motorcyclist Killed After Collision With Car In South Jersey

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Police say one man is dead after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in southern New Jersey.

Emergency workers responded to the accident at 2:33 p.m. Sunday on Sicklerville Road near Vernon Court in the Sicklerville neighborhood of Winslow Township.

Police said 55-year-old Weldon Battle was riding his motorcycle southbound as 55-year-old Charles Jones was making a U-turn. Both vehicles collided.

Battle was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said he had been thrown off his bike and was stuck under Jones' car. Jones was not injured.

Both men are from Sicklerville.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
