10 hurt in school bus crash in Moorestown Township, New Jersey

Ten people were taken to the hospital after a crash involving a school bus in Moorestown Township, New Jersey, Tuesday afternoon, officials say.

The school bus and a car collided at the intersection of Borton Landing and Hartford roads around 3:15 p.m., according to a post by township officials on Facebook

Six students on the bus, the bus driver and three people who were in the car were taken to the hospital for evaluation, the post says. All of them are doing well, and injuries "appear to be minor at this time," officials said.

The remaining students on the bus were taken to a nearby school and reunited with their families. School counselors will be available for students who need support, the Facebook post says. Officials did not say what school the students attend, but Moorestown Township Public Schools said on social media that leaders were aware of a bus accident on one of the district's routes.

Chopper 3 was over the scene Tuesday afternoon.
