Montgomery County Lawyer Accused Of Raping Former Client Faces New Charges

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Montgomery County attorney already facing rape charges is now accused of a handful of additional felonies, after police say he lied to access confidential information about his accuser.

A new criminal complaint against 57-year-old Vincent Cirillo, Jr. says the attorney, accused of drugging and raping a former client, was at a Montgomery County court hearing related to those charges on Wednesday.

The complaint says that immediately after that hearing, he crossed the street and went to the Domestic Relations office, where he identified himself as his accuser's current attorney and asked to see documents related to her open custody matter. A clerk initially provided the documents, but became suspicious when she noticed Cirillo signed his own name to the document request, not the name of the attorney of record. She took the documents from Cirillo and he left.

A woman with Cirillo, who said she was his paralegal, was later identified as Cirillo's wife.

Cirillo now faces several new felony counts, including identity theft, conspiracy to commit identity theft, forgery and false impersonation.

As of Friday evening, Cirillo remained in the Montgomery County jail in lieu of $80,000 dollars bail.
