Montgomery County Couple Arrested For Allegedly Using Counterfeit Cash

ABINGTON, Pa. (CBS) – According to police, a couple was arrested after a woman allegedly used a counterfeit 10 dollar bill at a Rita's Water Ice in Glenside.

On May 22 around 6:15 p.m., a woman bought water ice at the Rita's Water Ice on Easton Road and paid with a 10 dollar bill. The bill was determined to be counterfeit and the female was later identified as 35-year-old Angela Mazzoni, of Roslyn.

Abington Police obtained a search and seizure warrant for Mazzoni's home and executed the search the next day. Authorities found 265 counterfeit 10 dollar bills along with approximately $6,000 in real United States Currency.

Mazzoni and her husband, David, were both home at the time of the search and taken into custody.

They were both charged with criminal conspiracy, possession of instruments of crime and two separate counts of forgery.
