Montco Seniors Challenged To Explore Different Walking Trails

SCHWENKSVILLE, Pa. (CBS) -- A gathering in Schwenksville, this morning to recognize the Montco Trail Challenge Senior Celebration.

The Montco Trail Challenge is for all ages, visit five different trails in the county and get a medal.

"But we thought we would ask the seniors to do and get them out."

Michelle Ross who works at one of the senior centers involved in the challenge, helping residents learn about all the different trails.

"I'd consider it like a hidden a gem that I didn't know about and now I do."

One of those residents, Eileen Keiper, proudly showing off her medal, says she's walked every morning for years, but always on the same trail.

"This way I was able to go out and see some different parks and enjoy that part of it."
