Montco Judge Quickly Airs Documents From Grand Jury Probe of Kathleen Kane

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A Montgomery County, Pa. judge today released the report from a grand jury investigating Pennsylvania attorney general Kathleen Kane.
In a brief motions hearing this morning, Kane's lawyer asked that the grand jury materials be released. But the judge's compliance and speed in doing so was surprising.
The report, which calls for charges of perjury and obstruction of justice, among other things, paints an incriminating picture of Kane.
The grand jury was investigating whether Kane was violating secrecy laws when she gave material from a previous grand jury to a reporter.
She has acknowledged doing so but maintained the materials weren't protected. She reportedly told the grand jury she'd never seen the materials and did not release them.
Her spokesman, Chuck Ardo, says the report has been crafted to make Kane look bad.
It's still up to Montgomery County district attorney Risa Ferman to decide whether to charge Kane.
