Montco Attorney Accused Of Sexual Assault Makes Brief Court Appearance

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A Montgomery County attorney accused of sexually assaulting a client made a brief appearance in court today.

His attorney says they're preparing to fight the charges.

Defense attorney Nino Tinari is representing Vincent Cirillo, Junior. He says they won't be looking for any plea deals, and are preparing to go to trial.

"It is necessary and it's the only way Mr. Cirillo will be able to be exonerated and clear his name that has been put through the mud these last couple months."

The 56-year-old Cirillo is accused of raping a 22-year-old client at her West Norriton apartment after the two had been drinking. Charges include rape of an unconscious victim and sexual assault.

According to the criminal complaint, Cirillo admitted to contact with the woman but denied intercourse.
