Mo'ne Davis: 'Why Not Give Him A Second Chance?'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- She doesn't act like a 13-year-old girl.

Little League star Mo'ne Davis is asking for the Bloomsburg baseball player, who was dismissed for an offensive tweet, should be reinstated.

"Everyone makes mistakes," Davis said on SportsCenter, after acknowledging she emailed Bloomsburg. "Everyone deserves a second chance. I know he didn't mean it in that type of way. I know people get tired of seeing me on TV. But sometimes you got to think about what you're doing before you do it.

"It hurt on my part, but he hurt even more. If it was me, I would want to take that back. I know how hard he's worked. Why not give him a second chance?"

The tweet, which came from Joey Casselberry, a junior first baseman at Bloomsburg, said: "Disney is making a movie about Mo'ne Davis? WHAT A JOKE. That [expletive] got rocked by Nevada."

The Disney Channel recently announced the development of a biographical film on Davis, titled "Throw Like Mo."
