Mo'ne Davis To Throw First Pitch At Game 4 Of World Series

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to a tweet from San Francisco Giants beat reporter Alex Pavlovic of the Mercury News, Mo'ne Davis will be throwing out the first pitch prior to Game 4 of the World Series. Davis has risen in acclaim ever since her performance during the Little League World Series.

Davis' notoriety has gone way beyond Philadelphia. She has appeared on several national shows and her jersey now hangs in the Baseball Hall of Fame to commemorate her accomplishment among other women who have made an impact in the game.

The experience won't be anything new for Davis. She threw out the first pitch at Dodgers Stadium earlier this year and also threw out the first pitch along with her Taney teammates at Citizens Bank Park.

The toss prior to the World Series game should also be quite a breeze due to the fact that she did manage to toss a shut out during the Dragons trip Williamsport.
