Mo'ne Davis Memoir To Be Published Next Year

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- From the baseball diamond to the bookstore, Philadelphia's Little League star pitcher Mo'ne Davis has gotten a publishing deal.

As part of the Taney Dragons' thrilling third-place run in Williamsport this past summer, the 13-year-old became the first female pitcher to win a Little League World Series game.

Now, it's Mo'ne the memoirist.   Mo'ne Davis: Remember My Name will be on shelves in March.

The children's book division of Harper Collins says Philadelphia author Hilary Beard will serve as pitching-coach-of-sorts on the project.

It's the latest honor for Mo'ne, after becoming the youngest athlete to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated and having her jersey donated to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
