PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Mo'ne Davis is having quite the year. On Tuesday, the Harlem Globetrotters held their ninth annual player draft. The team selects a class of players from all over the world of sports to represent the iconic team.

"When we conduct our draft, we look for outstanding athletes from different sports all over the world that exemplify the Globetrotters' efforts to provide service, smiles and sportsmanship globally," Sweet Lou Dunbar, the Globetrotters' director of player personnel, said.

Among the players drafted today by the Globetrotters was Philadelphia's own Mo'ne Davis.

While Davis came onto the scene as a baseball player, it has become clear that she has serious skills on the court and she has said multiple times that she one day hopes to play basketball on the collegiate level at UConn.

Davis also appeared in this year's Celebrity Game at the NBA's All-Star weekend and had a memorable highlight against fellow Philadelphia native, Kevin Hart.

The Globetrotters drafted Davis already having a little bit of knowledge about her skills. Davis took the floor with the Globetrotters in March when they visited Philadelphia.
