Missing 4-Year-Old Found Dead in Community Swimming Pool
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) -- A 4-year-old reported missing to New Jersey police this weekend has been found dead in a community swimming pool.
Egg Harbor Township police responded to reports of a missing 4-year-old boy from the London Court Commons in Farmington shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday. The boy's parents told the responding officers the boy had wandered away from the residence and they couldn't find him.
A search party including local and state officers, police K-9 units and the State Forest Fire Service bloodhounds was deployed and a New Jersey State Police helicopter combed overhead.
According to police, the child was found two hours later in the London Court Condos swimming pool and transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
