Midweek Warm Up

By Geoffrey Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It has been a borderline taste of winter the past few mornings. Luckily, a return to normalcy is in the works on Tuesday.

Another chilly start this morning, though fortunately not as cold as it has been. Philadelphia hit a low of 47° just before the sun rose, right where it should be for late October. High temperatures this afternoon will follow suit, topping out in the mid to upper 60s. It will be another sunny, dry day for the Delaware Valley, with only some scattered high clouds. This trend will continue right through the end of the week, but that's not the only good news. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday will soar into the 70's; certainly a welcomed sight for many fearing the onset of the cold. Unfortunately, they won't stick around much longer. A front passage on Friday (which could set off a sprinkle) will drop them back down to near normal.

Let's not dwell on the future, though. Start making some midweek outdoor plans now!
