Megan's Law Offender Now Accused Of Stalking Villanova Student

By Walt Hunter

RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) -- Radnor Township Police say a Megan's Law Offender now faces criminal charges for allegedly stalking a 21-year-old Villanova University student inside the campus library on 10 different occasions in September and October of 2013.

Chief William Colarulo, calling 39-year-old Kornwell Chan "a predator," says Chan was arrested when he tried to return to the campus library last Tuesday but was spotted by officials.

Court records show Chan pled guilty in December 2012 to charges of stalking a 26-year-old Montgomery County woman, breaking into her home and stealing her underwear. He also pled guilty to taking pictures up women's skirts at a local mall.

Records reveal Chan received an 11 1/2 to 23 month sentence in March 2013, and shortly after his release, allegedly began stalking the student at the Villanova library.

Chan is now back behind bars at Montgomery County Prison after he was cited for probation violations.

Chief Colarulo says that given Chan's history and the current allegations, there may be many other women who were victims but didn't realize they were being stalked at the time. He asked that they contact Radnor Township Detectives immediately.
