Medical Marijuana Takes A Big Step Forward In Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG, P.A., (CBS) -- In a major victory for medical marijuana advocates, the Pennsylvania House, on Wednesday, overwhelmingly passed a bill to legalize medical cannabis in the state. The bill must now go back to the Senate for approval before making its way to Governor Wolf's desk.

"I'm feeling positive, I'm feeling good. But what I do want to do is this -- I want to go through it, I want make sure that whatever we give to our patients and we send to the governor's desk that it will work for the patients," said one of the biggest supporters of the bill, Lebanon County Republican Senator Mike Folmer.

Ultimately, Folmer believes medical marijuana is coming to Pennsylvania.

"Yes, yes. We will have a bill going to the governor," Folmer said.
