McDonalds Giving Out $15,000 In SEPTA Tokens Today

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Plan accordingly and you could score a free ride on the subway today.

McDonald's is giving away $15,000 in free tokens on Monday, April 25 at Broad Street Line's Walnut/Locust station between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. More than 300 people lined up for last week's giveaway.

The restaurant has been sponsoring the giveaways to help promote the return of Money Monopoly at McDonald's. The kickoff earlier in April literally brought Monopoly to Center City, giving people a chance to take part in a life-size Monopoly board game, jump into a money machine and take selfies with Mr. Monopoly himself at Dilworth Park.

"Our goal was to bring our customer's favorite game to life, and bring an added level of excitement and fun to the area," said John Durante, president of McDonald's of the Greater Philadelphia region.

Today's giveaway will be the last and hundreds are expected to turn out.
