PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Mayor Michael Nutter and local officials provided an update on the upcoming Papal visit and World Meeting of Families Wednesday afternoon.

Mayor Nutter said the city is expecting "north of one million people" during the week of the World Meeting of Families and Papal visit weekend.

"Our daily routines will be disrupted, some minor, some significant. But there will be disruption," Nutter said.

Additionally, officials announced the Ben Franklin Bridge and other major roadways will be closed the weekend of the Papal visit.

Mayor Nutter said, "We've had road closures before. To be honest, what's different is how large this event is and the impacts all at the same time. It's different, but so is hosting the World Meeting of Families. This is our one moment in time."
