Social Security Data Reveals Pennsylvania's Top Baby Names

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Mason and Emma were the most popular baby names for Pennsylvania babies born in 2014— with the name Mason topping the boys' list for the fourth year in the row.

Recent data released by the U.S Social Security Administration reported 877 baby girls with the name Emma, and 788 baby boys with name Mason in Pennsylvania.

The data also shows that Emma, Olivia, Ava, Sophia and Isabella were the top five most popular names for girls. While Mason, Liam, Noah, Michael and Jacob were the most popular for male babies born last year.

Barring the name Michael, these names were also on the list of top ten baby names nationwide last year.

The five most popular names account for less than 5 percent of all babies born for each gender.
