Researchers: Mary Lee The Shark Missing Since June

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — One of the most popular visitors down The Shore has gone missing.

It's been more than six months since Mary Lee The Shark has been spotted swimming off the New Jersey coast.

Since then, the 16-foot shark's transmitter has been silent.

Researchers think the transmitter's batteries may have died, partly because she surfaced so frequently over the last five years they've been tracking her.
