Police: More Than 100 Marijuana Plants Found In Philly Home After Reports Of Strong Odor

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--Police in West Philadelphia are investigating after they discovered a marijuana growing operation inside a home on Monday.

Officers removed large trash bags full of marijuana from a home on the 4800 block of Cedar Avenue. It's currently under construction.

Fire officials responded around 3 p.m. after calls for a strong odor coming from the 3-story house.

Inside they found more than 100 marijuana plants, according to police.

Authorities believe they know who is responsible for the operation.

They haven't released any information on a suspect.

They also say the homeowner might have nothing to do with what's inside.
