2 Maple Shade Schools Get The 'All Clear' After 'Unspecified Threat'

MAPLE SHADE, N.J. (CBS) -- The normal school day has resumed for students of both Howard R. Yocum and Maude M. Wilkin schools after an investigation of an "unspecified threat," according to the Maple Shade School District website.

Steinhauer and Maple Shade High are still being searched and those students have been dismissed.

The School District says students were unable to return to the school for their cell phones before the dismissal, explaining that parents may not be able to reach them at this time. Parents who have concerns regarding their child and whether he or she arrived home should contact the BOE office for help at 856-779-1750 ext 5206.

Once all of the buildings have been cleared, the district says they will make the school buildings available for parents and students to collect their belongings.
