Man, Woman Charged For Allegedly Impersonating Cops

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police have arrested a man and a woman for impersonating police officers over the weekend.

Forty-eight-year-old Terrence Jacobus and 28-year-old Kelli Rowan, both of South Philadelphia, are charged with impersonating, robbery and related crimes.

Police say the two were driving a silver Nissan on Sunday morning and stopped a woman near 4th and Jackson Streets. Police say Jacobus flashed a badge, said he was a police officer, and told her if she resisted she would be arrested. The woman ran to her home and called police.

About two hours later, a young man walking in the 16-hundred block of Passyunk Avenue was also stopped by the two driving a silver Nissan.

Police say Jacobus told the young man he was a police officer and asked for ID. The young man gave Jacobus his wallet. A short time later, the wallet was returned with no money inside.

South Detectives investigated the case and arrested both on Wednesday.
