Man Wanted In Domestic Homicide Found Dead Inside Car In East Oak Lane

CHELTENHAM, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a man being sought in the shooting death of a woman during a domestic dispute last week has been found dead in a car in Philadelphia.

Police and prosecutors in Montgomery County say the body of 52-year-old Stanley Laing was found at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the rear seat of a vehicle in the Adams Run apartment complex in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.

Police said a firearm was found near the body. Police and the medical examiner's office are investigating the death.

Laing had been charged with first-degree murder and other crimes in Thursday's slaying of 49-year-old Indra Sheets in the couple's Cheltenham Township home. Police classified the case as a domestic-related homicide.
